22 Minute Hard Corps – Resistance 1 Review

This is the first resistance workout in the program.  Strongly suggest you do Cold Start first to get your body warm and you ready for the quick start of this workout.

You do 3 sets of 5 exercises with very little break in between so be ready for a fast paced workout.

  • Pushups
  • Squat Thrusts (sandbag or weights)
  • Pullups
  • Lunge side twist (sandbag or weights)
  • Sit up punches

Reps range on all.  I used the assist band for the pull-ups and 20lbs of sand in the sandbag which was not hard for me.

At the end Tony has you go through a burndown which is really what got my heart rate up. 8 reps of running in place, down to a burpee and pushups…you do this for maybe 90 seconds or more so be ready.

I added in some dumbbell bench presses at the end for a little extra chest today.

My Heart rate went up to a max of 181 with an average of 157 so this was fast paced.  I burnt a total of 386 calories which is not bad for 22 minutes.  Add in Cold Start and I burnt 500 calories for the day.
