22 Minute Hard Core – Special Ops Resistance Review

First time doing this workout and I will say I expected it to be harder as all the previous Resistance workouts (1, 2, 3) all got harder as they progressed.  Don’t get me wrong this was not easy but I was expecting a little more craziness than what it was in the end.

NOTE: This workout is on the Bonus DVD.

There are 5 moves with the normal 3 rounds.  Small warmup and 30 seconds of cool-down so this goes pretty much the full 22 minutes.  Moves include:

  • Plange pushups
  • Squat/clean/press
  • Wide pull-ups with a cross-leg crunch for core work
  • Jump/Burpee/Roll move on each side
  • Low to high V-ups

I felt this in the shoulders the most myself.  I used the full sandbag as usual and may want to go up a little in the weight but I do like the bag as it positions your hands differently than with weights for variety.

To me the Jump/Burpee/Roll move really got my heart rate up, while the V-ups were not that hard but still good.

Always suggest Cold Start to begin with to get your body ready.  I also added in some bicep work at the end as I still feel the biceps are not worked out that much in this program.
