Shift Shop – Speed 35 Review

This is my review of Speed 35 from the Beachbody program called Shift Shop.

This program is 3 weeks of intense workouts and Speed 35 is the cardio workout in week 2.  It is 35 minutes long and has you use 3 markers in 2 different formations.  There are 2 rounds with each round consisting of 6 moves you do for 1 minute each and after a short break you repeat those same 6 moves again but for 30 seconds each with NO break in between.

Round 1 consists of setting up you markers in a triangle shape 2-3 paces between each.  The moves include:

  1. Lateral Slides
  2. Chop Shop
  3. Frog Hops
  4. Hurdle Hops
  5. Bear Crawls
  6. Baby Hops

You do those moves for 1 minute each, take a quick break and repeat all of them in sequence without a break for 30 seconds each.

You then get a little break and start the next round.

Round 2 consists of setting up you markers in a line 1 pace between each.  The moves include:

  1. Cross Jacks
  2. Plank Shifters
  3. Oblique Pickers
  4. Single Leg Hops
  5. Diamond Drill
  6. Spider Climbers

You do those moves for 1 minute each, take a quick break and repeat all of them in sequence without a break for 30 seconds each.

For me the toughest ones were the Bear Crawls, Baby Hops and the final Spider Climbers.  You will feel this in your legs if you get low and push hard.

This was a fun but tough 35 minutes of pure cardio.  You have a few minute cooldown at the end which you will need.

I burnt a good 440 calories and had my heart rate maxing to 174 with an average of 142 today.  Check out my video review here.
