Shift Shop – Strength 45 Review

This is my review of a workout called Strength 45 from Beachbody’s latest program Shift Shop.
In week 3 of the program you move to 45 minute workouts. This obviously increases the intensity of the workouts and the moves change as well.
In this workout there is a longer warmup and cooldown. There are 9 moves you will do three times – 3 rounds. The first round has 60 second exercises, the second round you move to 45 second durations on each, and then finally you go all out for 30 seconds.
Picking the proper weights will take a few times through as I used 20, 25 and 30lb dumbells my first time through.
Most of the moves are combination moves meaning you will target more than one body part. The exercises include:
- Pulsing Lung Hops
- Floating Upright Rows
- Bear Dog
- Straight leg Bridge
- Stagger Row Kickbacks
- Pull-Push Reach
- Sumo Circle Chop
- Shift Maker
I thought this workout hit my chest and biceps more than the previous 2 strength workouts. The Bear Dog was tough for me.
There is a little surprise at the end — so when you think you are done you may want to think again 🙂
Overall a solid full body workout and I burnt 545 calories with my heart rate maxing at 177 and averaging 142. The pace really increases as the rounds progress so be ready.
Let me know what you think.
